Here are some other pictures of a green and a purple book ready to be sewn. I really like this paper.
I am a work in progress. Every step of the way I learn new things, find new ideas, read new books, and see new places. These are my stories and my reflections; these are my life's lessons...

Coptic Binding
Coptic Binding is found on the outside spine. Since you can see the stitching, it's a fun way to bind a book. You can do a number of fancy stitches, use coloured threads, and addeads and ribbons.

The book pictured here has a blue linen thread. The cover is a Japanese paper with wheat paste to protect it. I got this great paper at a local store called Paper Umbrella. It's one of those places where my wallet is always lighter where I leave.
The star book also has coptic binding, but I think that this book is my new favourite.
